Meet a hostel: Lillehammer Hostel “The Train Station”

Lillehammer Hostel has the best location in town –  AT the bus and train station in the city centre of Lillehammer. The hostel is actually in the train station building! Guests could not have a better starting point for seeing all that Lillehammer has to offer, including shopping, attractions, restaurants, cafés and hiking. The cozy shopping street in Lillehammer is only 100m walking distance from the hostel.

Many of the guests and the locals enjoy the cafe Stasjonen in the reception area, which offers delicious cakes, lunches and coffee. Here you can read the paper, play some chess or simply relax by the fireplace. A perfect place to stop before or after traveling!

Lillehammer receptionLillehammer is perhaps best known as the Olympic City of 1994 – and the city is proud of its olympic history. For tourists, the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Park are within walking distance of the hostel. Or why not try curling at the local curling club?

The museum shows traditional Norwegian buildings from different time periods and is a must when you visit Lillehammer. There are buses to the family park Hunderfossen and Lilleputthammer. For the ones looking for a winter adventure, Hafjell Alpine centre is the closest ski centre to the Lillehammer hostel.
